Tender Soul |
The most tender of souls, this world has ever known,
Live the most tragic of lives, so scared and alone.
Donning cold, hard armor, each day to go on,
Shielding hearts from the arrows, the cold ones have flung.
In becoming hardened, there's a big price to pay!
Your soul, is the premium! Now hear what I say!
All the feeling is gone, that you wish to express,
The loving, the caring, buried deep in your breast.
Tender soul, wear a mask, hide your feelings inside.
Act as cold, and uncaring, as the world outside.
Look around you people, at the coldness you see!
It's not a kind world for tender souls, such as thee.
Living on the brink, of pain, and insanity,
From the heavy blows, of their inhumanity?
Hopelessness and despair, bringing you down again,
To the point where rejection, be your closest friend?
A rainbow is coming at the dark, stormy
end. |
God made His promise, this cruelty would descend.
"The meek ones shall inherit the earth." He did say.
Tender soul, this promise means, you'll see a better day.
Grab onto the rainbow, never letting it go!
You're precious to Our Father, you sweet, tender soul.
